President of Nigeria Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Former Governor of Bayelsa State Timipre Sylva were engaged in a war of words of sorts in the past week. Speaking at the launch of the campaign of the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Hon Henry Seriake Dickson, The President was quoted to have said the erstwhile Governor performed poorly during his tenure and this resulted in his stoning by the people of Bayelsa during a presidential rally in October 2010.
Of course, Mr. Sylva fired back citing the burning down of the President’s house in 2007 and his stoning in Uganda in 2011 as evidence of the President’s own rejection
Sigh …
These two need to sit down over some small chops and negotiate for peace. Haven’t they heard that those who live in glasshouses don’t throw stones? Can’t blame them, laden with sins, they are both qualified to cast stones.

*The remains of the underwater grave formerly known as the Costa Concordia might soon become a treasure cove as it has been revealed that passengers abandoned everything during the chaotic evacuation of the cruise liner. Jewellery, cash, antiques especially a 300 year old woodblock print are some of the left behind items. It’s just a matter of time before Treasure hunters set their sights on the sunken ship.
I sense another part of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie coming up. A Johnny Depp-Nicholas Cage collaboration maybe?

It was Super Bowl Night last Sunday and The Giants yet again upended The Patriots to win the title. What is news however, is that a record 111.3 million people watched this worldwide BUT what is more staggering news is that 114 million watched the halftime performance by the material girl; Madonna.
There were no wardrobe malfunctions aka nipple slips as Madonna had her materials sewn together tightly and gave a stunning performance, however, rapper M.I.A’s manners were exactly that (MIA) as she had a “finger malfunction moment”
M.I.A, no one uses the middle finger gesture no more, it’s 2012, get with the programme and yes fuck you too! You’re a mother for Pete’s sake!

Prince Harry (you know, Prince Charles’ younger son) is expected to be operating alongside British and American Special Forces troops targeting Taliban commanders and bomb-makers during a combat tour flying Apache helicopters in Helmand later this year.

Photographers in Britain are currently battling for the title of Britain’s worst photographer (tautology anyone?) Five photos are on display for the viewing pleasure (?) of the public to enable them vote for the one they think is best (by which we mean worst). The eventual winner gets a free day’s photography training (hahaha! Sub).
Founder of the contest, Lee Brown said “the photos have brought lots of smiles to our faces. We love the bad wedding pictures of headless brides…”

I’m sure lots of girls in Nigeria could easily have qualified and won this contest, especially if you send in a picture of your headless body. Aerial views maybe? Include some body parts that should otherwise be hidden…or shaved, and you might just become a star photographer.
