TNC Presents: The Love Letters
Hey people, Toolsman here.
Today, I’m excited because I finally get to introduce our Valentines week special. Last year, we served you a meal of a love story – Pounded Yam – and allowed you to choose the soup you wanted to take it with: effectively offering 4 alternative endings to the story depending on your taste in flavours of love. On our menu, we had Efo-riro, Egusi, Bitter leaf Soup and Banga.
This year, we have put together something very different. All through this week, instead of the usual sections, we’ll have a special series running to celebrate love and an ancient love expression art form. We’ve put together a kick-ass team to entertain you and trust me, you wont want to miss this.
These are the Love Letters.

Dear Reader,
Love is about communication and expression.
Love can be expressed in a myriad of ways, most of which will be on display on Valentines day but one of the most timeless and most treasured will always remain the love letter. Although modern technology and instant chat networks have reduced the occurrence of these expressions of romance through the written word, there is something potent about having someone sit down to permanently commit their feelings to you in writing. Some are delivered by hand, by blog post, some by mail or e-mail, read as wedding vows and some are romantically left in a secret location. The letter may be anything from a short and simple message of love to a detailed explanation of feelings. Love letters, just like love itself may move through a range of emotions - devotion, infatuation, disappointment, grief and indignation, self-confidence, ambition, impatience, resignation and hope. Either way, anyone who gives or gets them will treasure those words. So we celebrate them and hopefully inspire you to write to the one you love.

This series was created to express written communications of the beauty, struggle, experience, intensity and joy that couples and lovers encounter over a lifetime of love. The letters deal with young love, love separated by distance, love on the rocks, lifelong love and love that conquers all.
The letters will be opened at 10 am today.
We hope you enjoy them and they inspire you to express you.

I personally loove love letters. More than just verbally expressing deep rooted emotions and feelings, a finished love letter expresses so much more.
First, the time and thoughts that have been put into penning the words down, and then the vulnerability that comes of putting your feelings down for the recipient to see.. Like a stamp… Irreplaceable!

before i came to this page i was actually writing a love letter to someone i love but we are not going out yet and he is far from where i am also :( , but love letters are really something people should embrace again. For this valentine after buying all the "buyable" put a love letter there written by you pouring out your love, feelings and emotions trust me it will be worth it.
